 HEMA-FREE PRIMER BOND

A non-acid primer for gel polish manicures. Dehydrates and prepares natural nail for adhesion. Note: No other nail prep products are needed.

 

Note: Many nail products used in the nail industry contain HEMA. The Tammy Taylor HEMA-FREE system encapsulates products that contain HEMA, which helps keep HEMA from touching a clients fingernail and skin.

 

HEMA FREE GEL MANICURE DIRECTIONS

  1. Sanitize
  2. Remove polish
  3. Shape the natural nail with a 180-grit Zebra File
  4. Remove the shine from the natural nail with a 180-grit Zebra File (remove dust)
  5. Push back the cuticle with a metal pusher
  6. Dust off the natural nail with a plastic manicure brush
  7. Apply a thin coat of HEMA-FREE PRIMER BOND
  • Always remember, chemicals should never touch the skin, especially those with sensitive nails and nail allergies
  1. Apply HEMA-FREE BASE GEL/ Cure 1-minute in a 36 Watt LED Lamp or 2 Minutes in a 36 Watt UV Lamp
  • Note: Apply 1 or 2 thin coats depending on how much strength is needed/Cure after each coat
  1. Apply your favorite color gel polish/ Cure 1-minute in a 36 Watt LED Lamp or 2 Minutes in a 36 Watt UV Lamp/ Apply second coat of color gel polish/ Cure 1-minute in a 36 Watt LED Lamp or 2 Minutes in a 36 Watt UV Lamp
  2. Apply HEMA-FREE TOP GEL / Cure 1-minute in a 36 Watt LED Lamp or 2 Minutes in a 36 Watt UV Lamp
  3. Clean off tacky inhibition layer with Clean-It and a Towelette.
  4. Apply Conditioning Cuticle Oil.
HOW IT WORKS:

The HEMA-FREE System creates a protective “sandwich” by encapsulating any gel polish that contains HEMA or TPO between the HEMA-FREE Base Gel and HEMA-FREE Top Gel. This ensures that no HEMA or TPO comes in direct contact with the natural nail or skin. 
Step One: Apply the HEMA-FREE Nail Primer and HEMA-FREE Base Gel to the natural nail. This forms a barrier to protect the nail.
 
Step Two: Apply your chosen gel polish color.
 
Step Three: Finish with the HEMA-FREE Top Gel to fully encapsulate the color, preventing any HEMA or TPO exposure.

Note: People with naturally sensitive skin and nails are more prone to allergic reactions.
 
What is HEMA?
HEMA is a widely used ingredient in nail gels and monomer nail liquids. While it provides strong adhesion, it may trigger sensitivity in some individuals.

  • Studies show that less than 2% of users may develop an allergic reaction to HEMA.
  • The majority of clients will never experience any reaction.
